Enrolment & Casual Class Terms
Revision: 2
Effective Date: 22 September 2026
By enrolling a student in an ongoing class or booking a casual class with Little Rhythm Co, the parent/guardian acknowledges and agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Program Structure & Calendar
-
Little Rhythm Co classes operate throughout the year, including during Victorian school holidays, with a scheduled break of approximately 4–6 weeks over Christmas and New Year.
-
Classes generally resume in the last week of January and conclude in the third week of December.
-
Fees are charged only for active teaching weeks and do not include the scheduled Christmas/New Year break.
-
Ongoing families may be required to confirm or complete re-enrolment for the following calendar year.
2. Booking Options
2.1 Ongoing Enrolment
-
Ongoing enrolment reserves the student's place in their selected weekly class.
-
Ongoing enrolments continue automatically during active teaching weeks until cancelled in accordance with Section 9 of these Terms.
-
Places are confirmed once the required enrolment payment has been successfully processed.
2.2 Casual Classes
-
Casual classes are one-off bookings and are subject to availability.
-
A casual booking reserves a place only in the specific class booked and does not guarantee availability in future classes or create an ongoing enrolment.
-
Casual families do not receive Student Portal access.
-
Bookings are for the nominated student only and are not transferable unless otherwise approved by Little Rhythm Co.
3. Class Fees & Billing
3.1 Ongoing Enrolments
-
The standard ongoing class fee is $21 per class, billed automatically fortnightly at $42 during active teaching weeks.
-
By enrolling, the parent/guardian authorises Little Rhythm Co to charge the payment method provided at enrolment for:
-
the payment displayed and agreed to at enrolment; and
-
subsequent fortnightly payments of $42, subject to these Terms.
-
Fortnightly billing continues automatically while the enrolment remains active.
-
Where a scheduled billing period is affected by a planned Little Rhythm Co closure or non-teaching week, billing may be adjusted accordingly.
3.2 Casual Classes
-
The standard casual class fee is $26 per class.
-
Casual class fees are processed as a one-off payment at the time of booking.
-
Casual bookings do not involve recurring payments or direct debit.
4. New Family Welcome Offer
-
New families commencing an ongoing enrolment receive 50% off their first two classes.
-
At the current ongoing rate, the introductory payment is therefore $21 for the first two classes.
-
Following the introductory offer, automatic billing continues at the standard rate of $42 per fortnight ($21 per class).
-
The New Family Welcome Offer:
-
applies once per student;
-
applies to new ongoing enrolments only;
-
is not available for casual class bookings; and
-
cannot be claimed again following cancellation and subsequent re-enrolment.
-
-
Little Rhythm Co may vary, replace or withdraw promotional offers for future enrolments. Any change will not retrospectively alter a promotion already applied to an enrolment.
5. Payments & Direct Debit
-
Payments are processed securely using Little Rhythm Co's nominated payment processor.
-
By submitting an ongoing enrolment, the parent/guardian authorises Little Rhythm Co to process the initial payment displayed at enrolment and subsequent recurring fortnightly payments using the nominated payment method.
-
By submitting a casual booking, the parent/guardian authorises Little Rhythm Co to process the one-off amount displayed at booking.
-
Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their payment details remain valid and sufficient funds are available when payments fall due.
-
If a payment is declined or fails, Little Rhythm Co may contact the parent/guardian to arrange payment. Continued non-payment may result in the student's place being suspended or cancelled.
6. Student Portal
-
Student Portal access is provided to ongoing families.
-
The Student Portal may be used to:
-
view upcoming classes;
-
record absences;
-
access and book eligible make-up classes;
-
view invoices and payment history; and
-
update payment and account information.
-
-
Parents/guardians are responsible for keeping their account and contact information up to date.
-
Casual families do not receive Student Portal access. Casual families should contact Little Rhythm Co in writing at hello@littlerhythmco.com.au regarding cancellations or changes to their booking.
7. Attendance, Absences, Credits & Make-Up Classes
Little Rhythm Co recognises that illness and unexpected changes are common when attending activities with babies and young children. The following policy is designed to provide flexibility while allowing classes to operate sustainably.
7.1 Notice of Absence
-
To be eligible for a credit, refund or make-up class under this section, notice of an absence must be provided at least 2 hours before the scheduled class commencement time.
-
Ongoing families should record their absence through the Student Portal.
-
Casual families must provide notice in writing to hello@littlerhythmco.com.au.
-
Phone calls, social media messages and verbal notice are not accepted as formal cancellation notice unless expressly agreed to by Little Rhythm Co.
7.2 Monthly Credit or Refund — Ongoing Enrolments
-
Ongoing families may receive a credit or refund for one eligible missed regular class per calendar month, provided at least 2 hours' notice is given.
-
The family may request that the value of the eligible missed class be:
-
applied as an account credit toward future billing; or
-
refunded to the original payment method where practicable.
-
This benefit is limited to one eligible regular class absence per student, per calendar month.
-
Unused monthly credit/refund entitlements do not accumulate or roll over into future months.
7.3 Additional Absences — Ongoing Enrolments
Where an ongoing student has already used their monthly credit/refund entitlement, any additional absence during that calendar month may receive a make-up class credit, provided at least 2 hours' notice is given.
Make-up credits:
-
are subject to availability;
-
may be used to attend another eligible Little Rhythm Co class;
-
do not guarantee a place in a particular class;
-
cannot be exchanged for cash or a refund;
-
cannot replace the student's regular reserved weekly class; and
-
must be booked in accordance with the current make-up class procedures.
The student's regular weekly place remains reserved during eligible absences.
7.4 Casual Class Cancellations
-
Casual bookings cancelled with at least 2 hours' notice may receive a make-up class credit for another available class.
-
Casual class bookings are not eligible for the ongoing enrolment monthly credit/refund benefit.
-
Casual make-up bookings remain subject to class availability.
7.5 Late Cancellations & Non-Attendance
-
Where less than 2 hours' notice is provided, or the student does not attend without providing notice, the class is considered forfeited.
-
Late cancellations and non-attendance are not eligible for a refund, account credit or make-up class except where otherwise approved by Little Rhythm Co in exceptional circumstances.
8. Refunds
-
Except for the one eligible monthly absence available to ongoing families under Section 7.2, class fees are generally non-refundable.
-
Refunds outside these Terms may be considered in exceptional circumstances at Little Rhythm Co's discretion.
-
Requests must be made in writing.
-
Where a refund is approved, it will ordinarily be returned to the original payment method.
-
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Cancelling an Ongoing Enrolment
-
Ongoing enrolments have no lock-in contract and may be cancelled at any time by providing 7 days' written notice to Little Rhythm Co.
-
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to hello@littlerhythmco.com.au.
-
Any scheduled payment falling within the 7-day notice period will still be processed, and the student remains entitled to attend the classes covered by that payment.
-
No further recurring payments will be processed after the applicable cancellation period has ended.
-
Stopping attendance, recording an absence, cancelling a direct debit or advising an instructor verbally does not constitute cancellation of an ongoing enrolment.
-
Casual bookings do not require formal withdrawal because they are one-off bookings.
10. Changes or Cancellations by Little Rhythm Co
-
Little Rhythm Co may reasonably change instructors, class times, locations or class structures where operationally necessary.
-
Classes may occasionally be cancelled due to instructor illness, venue availability, insufficient enrolments or other circumstances outside Little Rhythm Co's reasonable control.
-
Where Little Rhythm Co cancels a class and does not provide the class as booked, families will be offered an appropriate remedy, which may include a replacement class, make-up class, account credit or refund as appropriate to the circumstances.
11. Health, Safety & Medical Information
-
Parents/guardians are responsible for providing accurate and current information regarding any medical conditions, allergies, disabilities or additional needs relevant to the student's safe participation.
-
Parents/guardians must notify Little Rhythm Co if relevant information changes.
-
Students who are unwell should not attend class where their attendance may pose a health risk to other participants, families or staff.
12. Behaviour & Supervision
-
Respectful and safe behaviour is expected from all participants and accompanying adults.
-
Little Rhythm Co may intervene where behaviour presents a safety risk or significantly disrupts the class.
-
Parents/guardians remain responsible for the supervision of their child before, during and immediately after class unless Little Rhythm Co expressly advises otherwise.
13. Photography & Media
-
Little Rhythm Co may occasionally photograph or record classes for promotional, educational or training purposes.
-
Photography and media consent will be managed in accordance with the consent preferences provided by the parent/guardian.
-
Where consent has not been provided, Little Rhythm Co will take reasonable steps not to use identifiable images of that student for promotional purposes.
14. Insurance & Liability
-
Little Rhythm Co maintains $20 million Public Liability Insurance.
-
Parents/guardians acknowledge that participation in movement and music activities involves ordinary risks associated with physical activity.
-
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
15. Privacy
-
Little Rhythm Co collects personal information reasonably necessary to manage enrolments, bookings, payments, communications, safety and the delivery of its services.
-
Information will be handled appropriately and will not be disclosed to third parties except where reasonably necessary to provide the service, with consent, or where required or permitted by law.
16. Changes to Fees & Terms
-
Little Rhythm Co may update its class fees, policies and Terms & Conditions from time to time.
-
Where a change materially affects an existing ongoing enrolment, Little Rhythm Co will provide reasonable notice before the change takes effect.
-
Updated fees may apply immediately to new enrolments and new casual bookings, while different commencement dates may be specified for existing ongoing families.
-
Continued enrolment after an advised change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms, subject to any rights available under applicable law.
17. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an ongoing enrolment or casual class booking, the parent/guardian confirms that they:
-
have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions;
-
agree to the applicable class fees and cancellation policies;
-
authorise the applicable payment or recurring direct debit arrangement; and
-
confirm that the information provided to Little Rhythm Co is accurate.
